Jord - winter high top
Our 'Jord' winter high-top is part of our Mutual Aid range which we're creating to raise money for good causes.
It is a collaboration with our friends at Vesica Piscis who have made it exclusively for us to help with this initiative. They make environmentally low-impact footwear, free from any animal ingredients (Peta-certified), under fair working conditions in their small factory in Spain.
The upper material is made from a 50% recycled cotton and 50% recycled polyester fabric (GRS certified) which is fluorine-free, water-resistant (not waterproof), and has a high-quality (GOTS-certified) organic cotton fleece lining which keeps your feet warm
The rubber sole is flexible and comfortable, and the removable ergonomic insole is 100% recycled PU foam base and a 100% recycled cotton upper (GRS-certified).
As there is no reinforcement material in the upper material they can be folded flat making them easy to pack in to a bag when travelling. In addition, because there is no reinforcement and the sole is sewn to the upper without glues, when the boots have reached the end of their life the upper can be detached from the soles allowing them to be recycled.
You can wash these boots by hand or in a washing machine - it is recommended to choose a cold and gentle cycle (max. 24ºC/75.2ºF). We do not recommend mixing with other garments of different colours to avoid colours running. It is very important to remove the insoles before washing as they cannot be washed. They should be left to dry at room temperature without direct light and not next to a heater. The water repellent finish lasts up to 10 washes in the machine and can then be improved by applying more footwear water-repellent.
