This variation of the Workers’ Playtime 6 eyelet ‘Vaquita’ ankle boot is a limited edition of just 100 pairs in total across two colour variations. They’re being sold to raise money to help support two important independent institutions in Yorkshire (UK) – the ‘1 in 12 Club’ and ‘BOOM’ – during this really difficult period of Covid-19 restrictions.

What makes them limited edition?
The boots have a different water-resistant syntheic leather upper material which is more textured but a little softer and lighter than the regular Vaquita boots. Every pair of Boots is also uniquely packaged in a screen-printed box with a tote carry bag – both printed by BOOM, by hand. Inside each box there’s also a special printed note from both supported venues and some stickers.

"Boom" is a grassroots music venue unique to Leeds that primarily promotes punk, hardcore and metal. The venue hosts first time on stage bands as well as international artists from across the globe. The venue is famous for hosting intense and lively shows from artists like Gallows, slowthai, Code Orange, Agnostic Front, Power Trip, Infest, Madball, Voivod and hundreds more. Boom also provides the Leeds music scene with permanent rehearsal rooms for bands and recording facilities.

"The 1 in 12 Club" is a not for profit organisation started in 1981. Based in a multi-floor building in Bradford which houses a café, library and venue, it is owned, managed & run by its members. It's a community of people aiming to provide an affordable, non-commercial venue for events, socialising, meetings & information, and over the decades the members have organised gigs for a who's-who of the very best independent, alternative and DIY bands including Avail, BGK, Bikini Kill, Chumbawamba, Citizen Fish, Corrosion of Conformity, Discharge, Doom, Dropdead, Extreme Noise Terror, Hard To Swallow, Integrity, Larm, Leatherface, Los Crudos, MDC, Neurosis, New Model Army, No Use For A Name, Oi Polloi, Senseless Things, Sick Of It All, Slapshot, Snuff, Swing Kids, The Levellers, The Wedding Present and the UK Subs.
